Mersea Native: Our Harker's Yard Gig

Mersea Native, a true gem made by the apprentice's of Harkers Yard in Brightlingsea, Essex. This beautiful gig, lovingly crafted with meticulous attention to detail, embodies the craftsmanship and seafaring spirit of the area. As you glide across the water, the gig's sleek design and sturdy build provide a sense of confidence and connection with the sea.  Renowned for its stability and ease of rowing, this gig boat is ideal for both experienced and novice rowers. Seven Stars: A Symbol of Cornish Rowing Heritage

Prepare to be captivated by the allure of Seven Stars, a GRP Cornish pilot gig  on loan from the CPGA. The iconic shape of the boat is steeped in history and is based upon wooden Cornish pilot gigs, showcasing the unique craftsmanship of the Cornish boatbuilding tradition. Rowing in Seven Stars captures the spirit of Cornish rowing and the proud legacy of the seafaring communities it serves.

Introducing Salacia, our Hanningfield Skiff

Named after the goddess of saltwater and the sea, this vessel embodies the spirit of the water. Based upon boats originally used on Hanningfield reservoir this boat has a sleek design, sturdy construction, and impeccable craftsmanship with means Salacia glides across the water, effortlessly combining elegance with performance.
